Why do I have to schedule a meet and greet?

A Meet and Greet is a free initial visit by your pet sitter prior to booking services with Paww Prints Furever. The goal of this meeting is to explain your routine to your pet sitter, set expectations and make sure you're both a good fit for each other. During this time, you will go over the Client Profile, Pet Profile, Service Agreement, our policies will be reviewed, and one key will be provided.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask your pet sitter at this time and reserve any dates needed.

Do you need a key to my house?

Yes, I will need at least one copy of keys to the house to ensure that I will be able to get in and care for your pets for each visit! I also require an alarm code (if applicable), you can assign a specific one if you're uncomfortable giving me the master code. This can be provided at the meet & greet or at the first visit. If you will need me to make an additional trip out to pick-up or drop-off the key, a trip charge may apply.

What services do you offer?

Drop In Visits, Pet Sitting (overnight care in the client's home), dog walking and cat care.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Navarre, Midway and Gulf Breeze.

Can you administer medication?

Yes, I am experienced in administering medications to both dogs and cats and I feel very comfortable when doing so. A walk through from the owner as to the best method for their individual pet is suggested.

What if I need emergency/last minute pet care services?

I will do my absolute best to be there for you, however I can't always guarantee availability. I always recommend booking at the latest the night before services are needed. A service fee of $15 will be applied to all requests made within 36 hours of the stay/visit.

Do you give any discounts?

For house/pet sitting any additional dogs after the 1st are only $10.
For walks and drop-in visits any additional pet is $5.
For every new client you refer, after their first booking, you will receive one free walk or drop in visit for your dog or a $15 discount off of your next house sitting.

What is the difference between a walk and a drop in visit?

When a walk is scheduled, it is just that, a walk and the walk is the sole purpose of the visit, of course fresh water, poop clean up and love is always provided. Walks can be scheduled as frequently or infrequently as your dog needs.
Drop-In Visits are generally scheduled to help break up your long work days for your pet, during a quick weekend trip or any other time when you are away traveling. Your pets will stay in your home and I will check in on them as many times as you'd like to feed, freshen water, give treats, administer medicine, take out to potty, play with, cuddle with and check your home.

How many dogs do you walk at a time?

I won't walk your dog with another dog outside of your own dogs unless you approve first.
I will never walk more than 3 dogs at the same time, and they must be well-trained and of small/medium size to go on a group walk.
Group walks and solo walks are priced the same. However if you have more than one dog in your household the additional dogs after the first one are only $5 each.

What is your policy for inclement weather?

During extreme temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit or in the rare case of below 32 degrees Fahrenheit dogs will receive short potty breaks and will finish the remainder of their time playing or receiving care inside.
I am however, overly cautious, if the heat index is over 100 degrees, walks will only be conducted if there is a safe path to do so (no concrete, asphalt, etc.).
I prefer to practice the The 5 Second Rule. This is where you put the back of your hand on the pavement, if you cannot hold it there for 5 seconds it is too hot to walk your dog. Keeping in consideration that certain dog’s pads, especially puppies are not as adaptable to heat and may not be able to stand even temperatures that we can.
Due to this, walks are shortened to 15 minutes outside, with the rest for a cool down period and water break inside.

How long are walks and drop in visits?

Generally walks and drop in visits are a minimum of 30 minutes.
However, if you have multiple dogs, high energy dogs, or if you would just like to spoil your canine family members, select an Add-On 15 when booking!!

What equipment do you need to walk my dog?

I require all dogs have a harness or Halti for walks.

I require this for safety reasons that benefit myself, the walker as well as your dog.

It is easier to attach the leash to the back or chest of an excitable dog than it is to one wiggling his head around in anticipation, or because he doesn’t like the leash.

Dogs can easily slip out of collars during a walk.

Some dogs dislike any kind of collar or restraint. They may be able to work a collar off their neck. If a harness is fitted properly and is the right size and style for the dog, it is more difficult to wriggle out of than a simple collar might be.

Harnesses and Halti's are great training tools and discourage jumping and pulling during walks.

Neck and trachea injuries might occur if a dog is constantly yanking, pulling or fighting the leash. Unlike a leash attached to the collar at the neck, a leash attached to a traditional body harness connects to a hook on the dog’s back between their shoulders. The body harness takes the direct stress off their neck. There are also harnesses which attach on the chest or as well as the Halti which attaches to the head.
